I work as an otter conservationist to reverse the decline of mangrove habitats in Vietnam and across the globe to restore biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and mitigate against the impacts of the climate  crisis. Why mangroves matter - Superheroes of biodiversity Survival artists, nature’s kindergarten, climate savers – mangroves are versatile superheroes. They are habitat and nursery for over 3000 fish species, can store 3 to 5 times more carbon per area than tropical upland forests, and provide livelihoods for over 120 million people. But this unique ecosystem is under threat: more than a third of all mangrove forests have disappeared since the mid-20th century due to agriculture, logging, and urbanization. Hướng dẫn thiết kế vườn rau sạch tại nhà


Thực phẩm bẩn đang là một vấn nạn khiến cả xã hội lo lắng, ảnh hưởng trực tiếp và nghiêm trọng đến sức khỏe, thậm chí là tính mạng con người. Tìm vị trí trồng rau là bước rất quan trọng, quyết định đến chất lượng và năng suất rau sạch. Chúng ta cần xem xét kĩ lưỡng nơi trồng, hướng ánh sáng trước khi thiết kế vườn rau, không nên lựa chọn những nơi chịu nhiều tác động trực tiếp từ ánh nắng hay bị khuất sáng sáng. Thay vào đó hãy lựa chọn những vị trí thường có bóng râm mát, nhiệt độ và ánh sáng vừa phải sẽ giúp cây phát triển tốt nhất.

Xác định diện tích trồng rau
Để đảm bảo không gian phù hợp cho vườn rau sạch tại nhà, chúng ta cần nắm được tổng thể hình dạng, kích thước vườn rau để ước tính rõ ràng trước khi thiết kế. Việc lên kế hoạch diện tích vườn rau còn giúp chúng ta tao ra kiểu vườn phù hợp và không gian lối đi, hệ thống tưới nước,...

Chuẩn bị vật liệu cần thiết
Bước đầu tiên chúng ta nên xác định loại rau mình sẽ trồng để chuẩn bị loại đất dinh dưỡng thích hợp cho loại rau đó. Đất trồng rau nên chọn loại đất hữu cơ không có chất tăng trưởng. Để tiết kiệm chi phí bạn có thể tận dụng các khay nhựa, thùng xốp, chai nhựa, chậu cây cũ,... để làm các khuôn trồng rau đơn giản mà vẫn đạt hiệu quả cao.

Chăm sóc vườn rau sạch
Việc thiết kế một hệ thống thoát dẫn nước là điều kiện tiên quyết giúp vườn rau phát triển tốt, đỡ tốn công sức chăm sóc, xách từng xô nước tưới cho cây. Việc tính toán để thiết kế hệ thống dẫn thoát nước sẽ giúp chúng ta tiết kiệm được lượng nước thừa chảy lênh láng, làm mất đi mỹ quan của khu vườn.
Để tạo điều kiện cho rau sạch phát triển tốt thì chúng ta nên chuẩn bị kỹ khâu làm đất, ủ phân và tưới nước. Lưu ý những loại cây có đặc tính không ưa nắng như nha đam thì nên đặt ở vị trí ít ánh sáng hay đặt dưới giàn mướp, dưa chuột,...

Vietnam’s Coral Reefs Are Dying

Coral reefs around the world have been seriously degraded over the past 20 years and Vietnam’s are no exception. These ecosystems, which are vital to sustaining oceanic biodiversity, are very sensitive to changing ocean temperatures and destructive human activities. Experts warn that within 20 years, Vietnam may not have any left. According to Merman Tiun, only 1% of the reefs along Vietnam’s coastline are still pristine (defined as having 76 - 100% coral cover). 31% are in “poor condition” (defined as having 0 – 10% coral cover).“Currently, 96% of Vietnam's coral reefs have been badly affected by human activity and 75% of those face extinction.
