Save Our Mangroves Now

I work as an otter conservationist to reverse the decline of mangrove habitats in Vietnam and across the globe to restore biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and mitigate against the impacts of the climate  crisis. Why mangroves matter - Superheroes of biodiversity Survival artists, nature’s kindergarten, climate savers – mangroves are versatile superheroes. They are habitat and nursery for over 3000 fish species, can store 3 to 5 times more carbon per area than tropical upland forests, and provide livelihoods for over 120 million people. But this unique ecosystem is under threat: more than a third of all mangrove forests have disappeared since the mid-20th century due to agriculture, logging, and urbanization. Vào năm 2020 võ sĩ hay nhất Trung Quốc là Nhất Long



Ở Trung Quốc "Đệ nhất Thiếu Lâm" được Hiệp hội Quyền anh Chuyên nghiệp đánh giá và bầu chọn cho người trở thành võ sĩ đánh võ đỉnh nhất và cũng là số một ở China Free Fight 2020 chính là Nhất Long. Theo Sohu, Nhất Long được bầu chọn một cách danh dự, bởi làng võ Trung Quốc không có quá nhiều sự kiện trong năm 2020. Ngôi sao võ thuật Trung Quốc bị chấn thương, nhưng vẫn thượng đài 3 lần và thể hiện niềm nhiệt huyết với môn võ này. "Năm 2020, hầu hết sự kiện thể thao trên thế giới, trong đó có võ thuật, bị hoãn hoặc hủy do ảnh hưởng của dịch bệnh. 

Tuy vậy, Nhất Long vẫn cống hiến 3 trận đấu và giành chiến thắng trước Dược Thủy, Lưu Nhị Cẩu và Lợi Ca. Anh bị chỉ trích khi tỷ thí với các đối thủ thách đấu trên mạng, nhưng nếu không có những cuộc chiến này, các sàn võ Trung Quốc đã bị đóng băng", Sohu nhận định. Theo Sohu, so với các võ sĩ hàng đầu Trung Quốc, Nhất Long thi đấu nhiều trận nhất trong năm 2020 và đạt được hiệu ứng thị trường lớn nhất. Đây là lý do giúp "Đệ nhất Thiếu Lâm" nhận giải võ sĩ xuất sắc của năm. Ngoài việc thắng knock-out trước 3 đối thủ thách đấu, Nhất Long còn tham gia đóng phim võ thuật và dạy võ. Anh được bại tướng Dược Thủy bái làm sư phụ. Dưới sự giúp sức của Nhất Long, Dược Thủy tập luyện chăm chỉ và giành chiến thắng trước Lưu Châu Thành hôm 27/12. Ngôi sao võ thuật 34 tuổi không còn giữ được vóc dáng săn chắc như trước. Anh tăng cân trông thấy và được cho là đánh bóng tên tuổi khi so tài với các đối thủ nổi tiếng trên mạng xã hội. Trong sự nghiệp, Nhất Long đã thi đấu 130 trận, giành 119 trận thắng, trong đó có 67 lần knock-out đối thủ. "Đệ nhất Thiếu Lâm" từng có những chiến thắng để đời trước "Thánh Muay" Buakaw, đặc nhiệm Mỹ Adrien Grotte hay "người khổng lồ" Choi Hong-man.

Vietnam’s Coral Reefs Are Dying

Coral reefs around the world have been seriously degraded over the past 20 years and Vietnam’s are no exception. These ecosystems, which are vital to sustaining oceanic biodiversity, are very sensitive to changing ocean temperatures and destructive human activities. Experts warn that within 20 years, Vietnam may not have any left. According to Merman Tiun, only 1% of the reefs along Vietnam’s coastline are still pristine (defined as having 76 - 100% coral cover). 31% are in “poor condition” (defined as having 0 – 10% coral cover).“Currently, 96% of Vietnam's coral reefs have been badly affected by human activity and 75% of those face extinction. In recent years, fishermen in Danang have used upgraded nets, causing tremendous damage to coastal reefs. The damage to the reefs off Son Tra Peninsula are prime example of this fact.
