Save Our Mangroves Now

I work as an otter conservationist to reverse the decline of mangrove habitats in Vietnam and across the globe to restore biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and mitigate against the impacts of the climate  crisis. Why mangroves matter - Superheroes of biodiversity Survival artists, nature’s kindergarten, climate savers – mangroves are versatile superheroes. They are habitat and nursery for over 3000 fish species, can store 3 to 5 times more carbon per area than tropical upland forests, and provide livelihoods for over 120 million people. But this unique ecosystem is under threat: more than a third of all mangrove forests have disappeared since the mid-20th century due to agriculture, logging, and urbanization. Thật ngạc nhiên lãnh đạo Facebook từ chức đón năm mới 2021


Đối với các thông tin chính trị, quảng cáo và những vấn đề nhạy cảm. Và người đứng sau đó giải quyết những vấn đề ấy là Rob Leathern, Rob Leathern xử lý các thông tin giả về đại dịch Covid-19 trên mạng xã hội này trong năm qua. Theo Reuters, ngày 30/12/2020, Giám đốc sản phẩm Facebook Rob Leathern thông báo trên trang nội bộ công ty việc rời khỏi nền tảng mạng xã hội này. Hiện Facebook vẫn chưa đưa ra bình luận về quyết định trên. Rob Leathern là người chịu trách nhiệm về mảng quảng cáo của công ty. Ông cũng là nhân vật đứng đằng sau chiến dịch xử lý các thông tin quảng cáo chính trị nhạy cảm và tin giả về đại dịch Covid-19 trên mạng xã hội này trong năm qua. Đây được xem là quyết định bất ngờ của ông Rob bởi trước đó, không có thông tin nhân vật này có thể rời khỏi công ty. "Tôi rời Facebook để nghiên cứu về quyền riêng tư người dùng, bên cạnh lĩnh vực quảng cáo và mạng xã hội", Rob Leathern viết trong bài đăng, đồng thời không tiết lộ bến đỗ mới của mình. 

Trước cuộc bầu cử Mỹ diễn ra vào ngày 3/11, Facebook bị chỉ trích nặng nề khi cho phép các thông tin nhạy cảm lan truyền trên mạng xã hội mà không được kiểm chứng. Tháng 11/2020, ông Leathern viết trên Twitter rằng vì khả năng kỹ thuật, trong ngắn hạn Facebook không thể cho phép đăng quảng cáo chính trị theo từng bang hay từng nhà quảng cáo. Ông đồng thời thông báo duy trì lệnh cấm quảng cáo bầu cử vô thời hạn trên mạng xã hội này. Trong năm qua, Facebook phải đón nhận chỉ trích bởi hàng trăm nhân viên từ chính nội bộ công ty. Đầu tháng 7, hơn 200 công ty, trong đó có những tên tuổi lớn như Coca-Cola, Ford, Microsoft, Lego, Unileve... công khai dừng quảng cáo trên mạng xã hội này để phản đối chính sách kiểm duyệt nội dung thù địch và kích động bạo lực.
