Save Our Mangroves Now

I work as an otter conservationist to reverse the decline of mangrove habitats in Vietnam and across the globe to restore biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and mitigate against the impacts of the climate  crisis. Why mangroves matter - Superheroes of biodiversity Survival artists, nature’s kindergarten, climate savers – mangroves are versatile superheroes. They are habitat and nursery for over 3000 fish species, can store 3 to 5 times more carbon per area than tropical upland forests, and provide livelihoods for over 120 million people. But this unique ecosystem is under threat: more than a third of all mangrove forests have disappeared since the mid-20th century due to agriculture, logging, and urbanization. Đôi vợ chồng người Trung Quốc lấy lại con gái sau khi bán vì hối hận


Đôi vợ chồng bán người con gái của mình với giá 21.000 USD, cặp vợ chồng ăn năn hối cải,tìm mọi cách lấy lại đứa bé. Đôi vợ chồng và cả người mua đã bị bắt giam. Cảnh sát nói rằng, Luo Moumou và chồng đã có 2 người con. Meng Moumou, mẹ của Luo, sống cùng gia đình con gái. Năm ngoái, Luo mang thai đứa con thứ 3. Vì Luo đang mắc bệnh liên quan đến thận, không thể phá thai, cộng thêm tình hình tài chính gia đình khó khăn, bà Meng bàn với con gái sẽ bán đứa bé sau khi nó sinh ra. Kế hoạch này được chồng Luo đồng ý, The Paper đưa tin. Meng liên hệ được với Zeng, người đang có nhu cầu. Vợ chồng Zeng hiếm muộn, lấy nhau nhiều năm mà vẫn chưa có con.

Cả hai đồng ý mua đứa trẻ với giá 140.000 nhân dân tệ (21.000 USD) và đặt cọc trước 10.000 nhân dân tệ. Ngày 26/6, Luo hạ sinh một bé gái. 5 ngày sau, Meng bế đứa bé đến địa điểm hẹn trước trao cho vợ chồng Zeng, nhận nốt 130.000 nhân dân tệ tiền mặt. Tuy nhiên, ngày hôm sau, cha đứa trẻ hối hận, lo lắng vì "lấy nhiều tiền như vậy là phạm luật", bàn với vợ muốn đưa con về. Sau đó, vợ chồng Luo lấy lý do hoàn tất các thủ tục ở bệnh viện nên lừa vợ chồng Zeng đón đứa bé về. Đợi mãi không thấy Luo đem con đến trả dù đã thúc giục nhiều lần, vợ chồng Zeng nghĩ mình bị lừa đảo nên đã báo cảnh sát. Tại tòa, Meng, Luo và Zeng bị truy tố về tội buôn bán trẻ em. Bà Meng và con gái lần lượt bị kết án 3 năm và 2 năm 6 tháng tù cùng với các hình phạt quản chế và phạt tiền; Zeng bị kết án 1 năm tù giam về tội mua trẻ em và có thể được hưởng án treo.
