Save Our Mangroves Now

I work as an otter conservationist to reverse the decline of mangrove habitats in Vietnam and across the globe to restore biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and mitigate against the impacts of the climate  crisis. Why mangroves matter - Superheroes of biodiversity Survival artists, nature’s kindergarten, climate savers – mangroves are versatile superheroes. They are habitat and nursery for over 3000 fish species, can store 3 to 5 times more carbon per area than tropical upland forests, and provide livelihoods for over 120 million people. But this unique ecosystem is under threat: more than a third of all mangrove forests have disappeared since the mid-20th century due to agriculture, logging, and urbanization. Chuyến đi xuyên lục địa của phượt thủ 66 tuổi gây sốt cộng đồng mạng


Ông Trần Lê Hùng đã đi phước qua 2 lục địa được ghi nhận bởi Tổ chức Kỷ lục Việt Nam vào sáng 6/12. Trong buổi hội ngộ kỷ lục gia lần thứ 40 tại thành phố Sông Công, tỉnh Thái Nguyên, ông Trần Lê Hùng sống ở Hà Nội đã nhận được kỷ lục "Người Việt Nam đầu tiên đi xe máy bằng đường bộ liên tục trong 6 tháng qua 39 quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ trên thế giới".

Ông Hùng chia sẻ với báo Zing rằng không hề suy nghĩ đến việc lập kỷ lục đi xuyên lục địa Á-Âu "tôi chỉ nghĩ đó là chuyện tầm phào cho đến khi làm được tôi mới dám thở phào vì vẫn còn mạng quay về."

Tên tuổi của ông Trần Lê Hùng cũng bắt đầu được truyền thông và giới chơi xe chú ý nhiều hơn khi lập được kỷ lục này. Ông chia sẻ: "Một số từng nghĩ đến việc từ bỏ nhưng khi nhìn tôi, họ lại thay đổi. Già như tôi còn làm được như vậy, thì tại sao họ lại bỏ cuộc. Tôi mừng vì đem đến thông điệp tích cực này cho xã hội".

Một số người hâm mộ nhận ra chú biker 66 tuổi này đã mời ông Hùng vào nhà, dùng bữa và chụp hình. Đó là những kỷ niệm đáng nhớ mà ông cảm thấy tự hào và không thể từ chối. Vì vấn đề đại dịch Covid-19, ông Hùng hiện tại không thể đi phượt xa ra nước ngoài trong năm 2020 nhưng ông lại có kế hoạch lập kỷ lục là 2 vợ chồng già nhất Việt Nam đi phượt khắp đất nước.
